Anthony Rafferty, Managing Director of Origo says:
"Origo is proud to have supported the Pensions Dashboards initiative from its inception. We are passionate advocates of the Dashboard’s founding principle: increased consumer engagement with all of their pension pots.
"Origo is delighted to respond positively to DWP’s report: Pensions dashboards: Working together for the consumer.
“Based on our extensive experience, we agree with the DWP’s proposed architectural elements and overall design principles which will enable competition and innovation and the use of open-standards throughout; meet the specific security and assurance requirements of Government and industry; facilitate dashboard delegated access for the purposes of guidance and advice; support strong controls for consumer consent management; provide a cost-effective approach in the best interests of consumers; allow for a pragmatic approach to on-boarding to meet the stated timescales.
"From our perspective of working on the Pension Dashboard initiative over the past 4 years, we are in no doubt whatsoever that the approach recommended by DWP will result in highly positive outcomes for consumers. The architecture and delivery model proposed protects and empowers the consumer.
"There will be delivery challenges to be addressed in the weeks ahead. Priority topics required to be addressed to enable the essential plumbing to be in place for a 2019 delivery include:
- User interface and user experience design;
- Technical architecture and standards;
- Digital identity / trust scheme creation;
- Regulation and legal framework;
- Ownership and funding framework.
